Blood horoscopes

Hey again everyone! A common thing here in the West is to ask someone what their star sign, or zodiac sign is, in the East (especially in Japan) they may ask you what blood type you are as well. Blood type horoscopes, or rather the believed personality traits of someone of a particular blood type, are a fairly recent development in the scheme of human history. Blood type horoscopes are so common in Japan, that some television morning shows, radio programs and newspapers will often carry daily blood type horoscopes. There also exists a number of dating services and/or matchmaker services that will hook people up based upon their blood types. You can even find different types of merchandise marketed directly to specific blood types in Japan. There is probably a notation about your blood type on your medical records. In fact, if you don’t know your blood type it’s important for you to find out. For those of you that DO know your blood type, I’m sure you’re now wondering what the Japanese system of blood type horoscopes has to say about you…

Blood Type Personality Traits:

A TypeThe Farmer
Type A belongs to the more serious people who are very dutiful. They are more reluctant than the other blood types. Blood type A needs some time to get used to someone or something.

Type A’s are known for being the most artistic from among all the types. They tend to be somewhat shy and conservative, and thus very introverted. They are incredibly patient and are good with plants and tending to things that may take a long time to finish. But their perfectionist standards can make them obsessive, stubborn, terribly self-conscious and extremely high-strung. Considerate.  Prefer peaceful human relations because they are highly sensitive to emotional upsets.  Slow to trust people for the same reason.  Observe social rules and customs strictly and consider it important to retain the status quo.  Restrained and conventional, anxious to maintain personal security. Comparatively low motivation, but persistent; will endure.  Tend to perfectionism.  Despite inclination to pessimism will seek out causes, and desire personal transformation.

O TypeThe Warrior
Type 0 is always on the move and the most mutable of all blood types. They are very sociable and lead a very active life.

Type O’s are known for being trendsetting, charismatic, generous, independent, social, and highly outgoing at anything they try. But they can also be vain, prone to jealously and overly self-confident to the point of arrogance, ruthlessness and insensitivity. While they may be natural born leaders, they also have a tendency to be somewhat flighty and not finish things they start.
Strongly motivated, goal-oriented, can take chances and often show good judgment in doing so.  Conscious of power relationships.   Dislike to be subordinate; assertive and individualistic.  Honest and direct.  Expressive, romantic and socially oriented, but tend to be cautious around people outside of their circle.

B TypeThe Hunter
Type B belongs to the most sensitive people, often hidden behind a mask or shield. They are quite jealous.

Type B’s are characterized by being very strongly individualistic, possessing an enthusiastic zest for life and a limitless curiosity. They are highly passionate and creative in whatever they throw themselves into, and tend to be highly optimistic as well. They are also very adaptable and flexible when the need arises. They are known for having a wild and unpredictable streak, as well as bucking at the yoke of custom and tradition. Dislike restrictions and want their own way.  Unconventional in thought and action.  Tend not to abide by conventional categories.  Not conscious of circumstances or limitations; don’t care about social rules and customs.  Less socially or domestically inclined, more individualistic.  Will judge based on their own standards of right and wrong, and act rapidly on that judgment.  Optimistic in outlook but pragmatic in application.  Not as direct as type O, but fairly straightforward.  Interests cover a wide range, perhaps because of this they tend not to be ambitious.

AB TypeThe Humanist
Type AB is the most complicated of all. They are the feelers and always in conflict with their own inner self. They act on their instinctive drives. Their feelings are very changeable though and are doubters.

Type AB’s tend to be an oxy-moronic lot, comprised of seeming contradictions. They are characterized for exhibiting opposite traits, and thus can be somewhat moody. They can be socially outgoing, but also timid and shy. They can be highly empathic, sensitive and considerate at times, as well as very cold and emotionally aloof at other times. They are known for being highly critical and unforgiving by carrying a grudge for far too long, but are also known for being able to get along with the other blood types well. Rational, analytical, critical; can look at a problem from many angles.  Like to have a specific role to participate in and contribute to society, despite usually feeling rather distant from it.  Will incline to the mystic and transcendent.  Very emotional, even passionate, but tend to suppress it publicly.  Nevertheless, despise hypocrisy.  Get intensely involved in projects, but tend not to sustain that intensity.  Enjoy harmony and are usually good at acting to maintain it.

Compatibility by Blood Groups:
A is most compatible with itself and AB types.
B is most compatible with itself and AB types.
AB is compatible with everyone.
O is most compatible with itself and AB types.
* Please note that the RH factor has no bearing on blood type horoscopes.

Get Sexy Hands

Hi everyone, as most of you already know, well-groomed hands tell the world you take care of yourself, they are the expression of femininity and youthfulness. How to have healthy and beautiful hands? It’s not that difficult!

Here are some tips to keep your hands looking great!

1. Decide that you are going to stop. Pick a day and say that’s it. No more nibbling. Now here are a few little ways to help.

2. There are some bitter tasting liquids that can painted onto the nails. I don’t know anyone who actually liked the taste, so this is going to slow you down and give your nails a little time to start growing.

3. The minute you wash your hands, re-apply the liquid mentioned above. This will also focus attention on your hands and the nails which should be visible by now.

4. Keep an emery board in every room and one in your backpack or purse. The minute you notice a snag, use the emery board and not your teeth.

5. Buy a few bottles of pretty polish and some hand cream. You are going to keep your nails polished and your hands soft. In a weeks time, you are going to notice a difference.

6. Once a biter, always a biter. I have stopped, but it only takes a snag for me to revert back to old habits. I have to follow these tips too.

7. You might have been looking for a magical way to stop biting your nails, but I’m afraid that there is no such thing. You simply have to put your mind to it and stop!

8. Will power is an amazing thing. If you want something badly enough, you can do it. If you want pretty nails, you are the only person who can stop it from happening.

A few other tricks:

Hangnails… No Thanks

Tonight, before you go to bed, massage your hands with your favorite hand cream. Be sure to start at the wrists and go right down to the fingertips. Not only will your hands be softer, you will be controlling the development of new hangnails.

Foods That Will Help Your Nails

Foods that are rich in iron, calcium, vitamin B and potassium are as good for your nails as they are for the rest of your body. They include soy products, bananas, celery, yogurt, eggs and seafood too.

Saving The Nails

It is really easy to pick up some bad habits. The worst are using your nails as tools. Start watching how you use your nails today, so that you can drop these bad habits.

Zap the zits

Hi! Let’s take action against one of our worst enemies: acne, which includes blemishes, whiteheads, blackheads and so on.
Banishing blemishes should be at the top of our survival skills. Even though there’s no guaranteed way to prevent them from rearing, I’ve just collected a few tricks to fending the majority off.1) First of all, be a smart shopper: search for moisturizing lotions and make up that says”noncomedogenic” or “nonacnegenic” on the label. These two terms refer to ingredients that could irritate your skin.

2) Secondly, if you suffer from oily or acne-prone skin nix the hair spray and gel, as they contain oils that cause pimples on your forehead and around your hairlines. If you can’t do without these beautifiers, just cover your face with a towel when spraying hairspray.

3) Don’t wear tight caps, toques or handkerchiefs on your head. Stay away from tight materials that don’t breathe, rub and irritate the skin.

4) You’re not allowed to pick or squeeze the little blighters, so you definitely need to know how to conceal them!

- Spread Oil free moisturizer all over your face. Use your finger to pat a little extra moisturizer on the zit and give it a second to absorb. By doing this the surface of the spot will be smooth rather than crusty and flaky.

- Use your fingertip or a small makeup brush to cover the zit in concealer. Don’t over blend, just pat it gently. Choose a concealer that matches your skin tone or one that is slightly darker.

- Set the concealer with a yellow toned powder on a cotton powder puff. Wipe off the excess with a small make up brush.

5) Remember: you are what you eat! So do your best to incorporate fresh foods into your diet. Substitute a piece of fruit or fresh vegetables for candy bars and greasy potato chips whenever possible.

6) Ask your dermatologist or pharmacist to recommend an over-the-counter acne wash containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid – two effective acne-fighting ingredients.

That’s all… good job!

Lazy Bunnies

Hey girls.. Are you someone who hates waking up extra early just to fix your hair and makeup then here are some tips for you!
1. If your morning rush leaves you absolutely no time to mess with foundation, don’t freak out. Instead, try a tinted moisturizer. Go for one that contains SPF, so you can moisturize, shield your skin from sun damage and even out your complexion all in one fell swoop. And, tinted moisturizers go on sheer, so you don’t have to stress about blending–especially if you are still half asleep.
2. When you’re running crazy late, headbands can give you a new look in no time at all–choose the stretchy ballerina type. A headband is a great hassle-free way to wear your hair back, it’s quick, easy and makes you look tidy.
3. You can cleanse your first-thing-in-the-morning face anywhere. You don’t even have to step a foot in front of the sink when you use a multi-talented, no-water-required wipe.

4. If you’re in the market for a new blow dryer, snag an ionic one. These high-tech tools work way faster than the regular kind, helping to cut your dry time in half.

5. Curled lashes make eyes sparkle and look larger, but when the clock is ticking, the last thing you want in your face is a metal contraption–a.k.a. an eyelash curler. Lash out with a self-curling mascara and you’ll be out the door with time to spare.

I’m sure a lot of you girls know about these tips but just encase you didn’t I thought I’d post it anyways have a great day!

Lets build a new wardrobe

Let’s build your wardrobe!
It’s easy to find trendy stuff: fashion mags and stores are loaded with cool clothing you’re dying to own. But if you want to build a basic wardrobe and by that I mean basic clothing that wont be over in a few months, things get a bit trickier. Think about the places you go and what type of clothing is appropriate for your life. Then find an inspirational source, style-wise: a certain fashion icon, a designer, or a little catalog, something that gives you ideas for new ensembles, styles, and creations.

Core pieces
 - Two pairs of jeans that fit great (A medium wash is the most classic.)
 - Khaki pants. Not too short or too long.
- A pair of semi-slim-fit twill trousers.
- Three solid-color Tshirts. Choose a basic, short-sleeve style in colors like gray, black and white.
- A button-down oxford.
- A well-fitted denim jacket.
- Nice pair of boots.
- A great pair of sandals – thongs, slides, wedges.
- Several versatile belts.
Have any other tips to add write them in the comments below!

Fun with friends

Hang Out Time
Hanging out at a friends house can be as much fun as going to the mall, movies or other favorite places. Write down all the fun things you can do at your friends houses, with as many ideas for special afternoons as you can. Then share them with your friends, that way, if it rains or you don’t have transportation, you can still have an awesome time.
1. Turn your living room into an aerobics class. You can find free workouts on Exercise TV.
2. Have a board game night. Tell everyone to bring over their favorite games, and draw out of a hat to decide what you play. Serve candy and soda to get people in giggly moods.
3. Watch episodes your favorite TV shows from when you were a kid.
4. Dig up some pairs of jeans you never wear and recycle them into something new, like a book cover or a practical tote bag.
5. Play some retro Nintendo games for free online. Unlike a lot of online games, they’re perfect for playing with friends. Mind you they are better on the actual game system if you still have it.
6. Have a frock swap. Gather together all the clothes you never wear and have your friends do the same. Put them all in a big pile, then take turns pulling pieces out and trying them on. You’ll leave with more clothes you could score in a shopping trip, and they’ll all be free!
7. Pile all of your old magazines together and have a collage night. Make them with a recipient in mind – like your boyfriend, or your mom for Mothers’ Day. Or be selfish and make one for your locker.
8. Bake cookies out of ingredients you find in your kitchen, like super-easy cake mix cookies. Pass them out to your favorite people.
9. Pool all of your makeup, nail polish and hair products and give each other makeovers. Post the final results on Facebook and see what everyone thinks of your work.
10. Play You Don’t Know Jack, a super-snarky trivia game available for free online.
11. Invite some friends over to play video games. If you’re sick of the games you’ve already got, put out a request on Facebook to trade games with a friend for a couple of nights.
12. Borrow a couple of odd-sounding movies from the library. If they end up sucking, it’s no big deal – they were free, after all.
13. Play some classic schoolyard games, like four square, tag and kick the can. If you think those games are only fun for kids, you must never have played them with a group of hyper friends.
14. Try and practice new dances. Look some songs up and try and find a dance routine you can copy on youtube.
15. Host a poker night, using M&M’s as your poker chips.

Winter Tips
The girls motto during cold months is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Just because its cold out doesn’t mean your skin has to be dry and scaly. To stay smooth and healthy during the winter months try these tips.1.Cold air and wind are very drying to the skin. During winter months, apply a heavier moisturizing lotion to your skin after every bath or shower.2. Exfoliate your face and body at least once a week to free your skin of dead skin cells.

3. Apply lip balm to lips before going to bed.

4. Wear gloves whenever you go outside. Cold air can make nails and cuticles dry and brittle. At night rub moisturizer into your nails and cuticles. Wear cotton gloves while you sleep to seal in the moisturizing effects.

5. Eat healthy and hearty foods.

Honey Lip Balm (for winter)
Ingredients:
1 cup sweet almond oil
1/2 cup beeswax
2 tbsp honey
Put almond oil and beeswax in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute or until melted. Whisk in honey. When cooled, pour into small containers with lids. Leave them to harden. Makes 1-1/2 cups.
